What decides the price

  • Design. Entry designs have a narrower corridor. Freeform and personalised designs are surfaced point by point for a wider, clearer field.
  • Lens index. Higher powers need thinner material such as 1.60 or 1.67, which costs more.
  • Coating. Anti-reflective, blue-light and hydrophobic layers add to the price.
  • Photochromic options. Lenses that darken outdoors cost extra.
  • Fitting. A precise pupil distance and fitting height matter as much as the lens itself.

How to choose your tier

  • Light use, first pair: start with OK PRO+. Try it before you commit.
  • Long screen hours or night driving: choose a coated design such as EsenPro or AI AdaptX.
  • Trouble adapting in the past: look at AI AdaptX.
  • High prescription or demanding daily use: compare Endless and VertaX with an optician.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of progressive lenses in India?+

From roughly ₹3,000 for an entry design to ₹25,000 or more for a premium personalised one. At Lensmaster, OptiKore progressives run from ₹3,300 to ₹20,100.

Why do progressive lenses cost more than single vision?+

One lens carries distance, intermediate and near powers, so the surface is harder to design and grind. Higher tiers are personalised, surfaced point by point.

How long does it take to adjust?+

Most people adapt in one to two weeks. Wear them full time and turn your head toward what you want to see. If you still feel unsteady after two weeks, get the fitting height checked.

Are expensive progressive lenses worth it?+

They help most with heavy screen use, night driving and higher prescriptions. For light, occasional use, an entry or standard design is often enough.

Can I try them before buying?+

Yes. Lensmaster offers a free progressive trial at participating partner opticians — ask for the trial when you request your quote.
